Drop Kick; is a maneuver that's performed one of three ways. The standing drop kick is where two opponents are standing side by side and one jumps straight up and kicks the other while still in the air. The running drop kick is where an opponent is thrown to the ropes and is gotten by a flying kick as they are coming out of the ropes, or is where an opponent flings himself into the ropes to get a running start and then gets a better leap. This version can be countered easily by holding onto the ropes or sidestepping. The third is a missile dropkick so named because person climbs to the top turnbuckle to deliver the kick straight to the midsection this can be countered a number of ways. The dropkick is effective as a maneuver to wear down an opponent since if aimed right can knock the wind right out of an opponent. It’s also a good surprise maneuver.
